*Focus. This is the key.
The key is to use the mind. Strengthen the mind, and in this case, train it to focus.
Sit in bed just before bedtime, or when you wake up, or in the middle of the day.
1 Put the right hand out in front, and raise your index finger.
2 Look at the index finger.
3 Move the index finger slowly to the right and follow with the eyes (BUT don’t turn your head!) Only the eyes move, following the index finger.
4 Bring the index finger slowly back to the front, with your eyes following it.
5 Repeat the process with your left index finger, moving the finger left, eyes following.
Do the whole process 3-5 times. This gives your eyes and mind practice in focusing.
Things to remember:
1 Do not get up suddenly from bed but lie there and wait for your eyes to get their bearing.
2 Sit up slowly, and begin the exercise for the eyes.
IT TOOK ME ONLY ONE DAY TO TRAIN MY MIND TO OVERCOME VERTIGO.
The eyes will see and then get affected by the disequilibrium in the ears but the mind learns to focus, and this brings stability. The exercise trains the mind to focus with the eyes.
For me, reading in bed lying down brings vertigo the next morning, so I read sitting up and not for too long.
#When an attack of vertigo comes, immediately put out one hand and raise the index finger. Focus on it and this will stabilize your mind.
