Up to 50% Merdeka celebration discount for passenger on selected ETS trains between KL Sentral, Ipoh and Butterworth during the month of August and for the Southern Express train service between Johor Bahru Sentral and Gemas.

KUALA LUMPUR: KTM Intercity and Electric Train Service (ETS) passengers will now be able to book rail tickets six months in advance.
In a statement today, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) announced that passengers can book rail tickets up to the Chinese New Year celebration in January 2017.
A total of two million tickets will be on sale for all KTM Intercity and ETS routes starting today (Aug 17) from 8.30am onwards.
Tickets can be purchased at KTM Intercity counters, KTMB registered agents and via online (e-tickets).
Passengers are advised to check ticket details before leaving the counter. They should buy train tickets early before travel peak time during festive season and school holidays.

KTMB also announced that it will offer various halal meal service for passengers including western food, local cuisine, vegetarian food and even dim sum.
