No more free parking at new LRT stations from Aug 15

PETALING JAYA: Parking at the new LRT stations will be chargeable from Aug 15 after the expiry of free promotions by RapidKL.

In a statement released Friday, Rapid KL said parking at the “park n ride” facilities at the Ara Damansara, Glenmarie, USJ21, Alam Megah, Subang Alam and Putra Heights stations will be charged at RM4 per entry per day.

“Parking at motorcycle bays and bicycle racks at these facilities, however, remains free,” said Rapid KL spokesman Lim Jin Aun.

Constructed under the LRT Line Extension Project, the park and ride facilities were opened on June 30.

“Free parking has been offered since June 30 as part of Rapid KL’s initiatives to promote usage of the LRT services for commuters, especially among neighbourhood residents. This promotion ends on Aug 14,” he said.
