TMJ: I’m no coward
Tunku Mahkota of Johor shares details of his recent meeting with PM Najib Razak, where he spoke on the political situation in the country and voiced concerns of the rakyat.
PETALING JAYA: “I don’t hide behind computers or only write in Facebook and I am certainly not a coward, throwing stones and then running away.”
This was what the Tunku Mahkota of Johor, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim had to say following his recent meeting with Prime Minister Najib Razak, where the two discussed the political situation and other issues in the country.
In an interview posted on the Johor Southern Tigers Facebook page, Tunku Ismail said during the meeting, he had voiced the concerns of the rakyat.
He said when he had a problem, he could discuss the problem and handle it like a gentleman, rather than take to the keyboard.
“I like to be direct and tackle problems that I have immediately.

Tunku Ismail said he did not believe in hiding problems like “certain leaders” who just wanted free holidays or lobbied for projects, and that whatever he did, he did for the nation.
“I will continue to speak out and give my views to the leaders of this country for the benefit of the Johorean people.”
He said during the meeting, Najib also shared his own views and opinions with him.

Johor crown prince has tea with Najib
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 13 — Johor crown prince Tunku Ismail Ibrahim had tea with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak yesterday, where they discussed politics and national issues.
The meeting between Tunku Ismail and Najib at the prime minister’s official residence in Seri Perdana, Putrajaya, yesterday was announced on the Johor Southern Tigers Facebook page.
“During the meeting, HRH Crown Prince of Johor, who was invited for evening tea, also discussed a few current issues related to politics and national matters.
“The meeting indirectly showed how attentive HRH Sultan of Johor and HRH Crown Prince of Johor are in conveying the views and voices of the rakyat for this country to progress as a nation,” said the announcement.
