Ti points finger at Muhyiddin for Red Shirts’ violence
MCA spokesperson says Red Shirts’ antics are based on the rhetorics of past Umno leaders.
PETALING JAYA: MCA spokesperson Ti Lian Ker today hit back at Muhyiddin Yassin, saying it was the former Deputy Umno President and not Prime Minister Najib Razak who was to blame for the violence being exerted by the Red Shirts movement.
This was because the antics of the Red Shirts were a reflection of the ideologies espoused by Muhyiddin, former Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim and former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad, he said.
“In fact Muhyiddin had directly and indirectly contributed to the growth of this culture by declaring ‘I am Malay first, Malaysian second’ followed by Mahathir’s endorsement of the other extreme right wing, Perkasa, of which he is their patron.”
Ti argued that what Muhyiddin claimed earlier went against the 1Malaysia concept that Najib promotes at present.

Muhyiddin labelled ‘traitor’ at Bersatu’s maiden S’gor ceramah
https://www.malaysiakini.com/news/359276 @PribumiBERSATU1
.
Through the dark, lamp-absent federal route 1208, Muhyiddin Yassin’s seven-seater Toyota Alphard was driven through to Dewan Orang Ramai Kampung Sungai Buaya, where his first ceramah in Selangor as Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) president was held following the party’s official registration in September.
As Muhyiddin’s car turned towards the hall and was greeted with the red hisbiscus flags of Bersatu, he spotted four banners hung along this route.
Without any logo or indication of the producers, the banners read: “Muhyiddin, don’t incite our villagers! Go back!”; “I am steadfast Umno member, Muhyiddin!!! Go back, you traitor!!” “Our village is not the place for spreading libel, we hate traitors”; and “We the Sungai Buaya ex-settlers hate the race liar.”

No, Muhyiddin wasn’t there…
But Ali Tinju slaps Muhyiiddin’s face on the banner anyway.
NGO leaders arrested over anti-Muhyiddin protest
.
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 16 ― More than 10 members of a coalition of NGOs led by Jaringan Melayu Malaysia (JMM) were arrested today after they organised a protest against former deputy prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at the court complex here.
The protesters, numbering at just over 20, were protesting against Muhyiddin for not turning up at a Nothing to Hide 2.0 forum organised by JMM recently.
However, after they made their way into the court lobby, police arrested them under the Peaceful Assembly Act (PAA) 2012.
“All those arrested will be brought to Sentul police station for further action,” Sentul district police chief ACP R Munusamy told reporters after arriving at the scene.
Munusamy said that the police tried to get the protesters to disperse calmly, but were forced to detain them as they were being disruptive.
“They were affecting the proceedings of the court,” he said.
