Gerakan man urges young, sexy girls to boost party’s polls chances
Gerakan legal and human rights bureau chief Baljit Singh has proposed a formula to ensure the party’s victory in future elections: field young, sexy multicultural women.
“If you want (to contest) where you will 100 percent lose, why put a candidate who is 70 years old, a Chinese man who is 70, 80 years old?
“Why not field a woman who is beautiful, sweet, energetic, sexy, and is willing to give it her all,” Baljit told Gerakan delegates at the party’s annual general assembly today.
He said these women would likely lose the first time they contest, but noted that this would prepare them for future elections, and to be Gerakan’s second liners.
Baljit then laid down his winning formula: Winnable candidate equals multiracial, women, and young.
He cited as an example the Teluk Intan by-election in 2014, which then Gerakan president Mah Siew Keong won.
“They (DAP) put a young Malay girl (Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud) there.
“I saw her as a young Malay girl, I didn’t see anything else,” Baljit said.

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 6, 2013): MCA is expected to field more young women candidates in the 13th general election (GE13).
China Press, quoting party insiders, reported today that half of the 30-odd women nominees recommended by MCA divisions and branches are newbies.
…………..
Among the nominees given better exposure in the media are Beliawanis chief Tee Hooi Leng of Klang, Selangor; Beliawanis deputy chief Wong Siaw Ting, who is special officer to the Seputeh BN chief; Beliawanis member Sung Yi Wen, who has been active in Bahau, Negri Sembilan; and living liver donor Chew Hoong Ling.
It is worth noting that Chew, who joined MCA after her deed to donate 60% of her liver to a Singaporean teenager in 2008 was given wide publicity, was not nominated by the women’s wing, but given the high-profile appearances she made together with party president in Petaling Jaya Utara recently, it is an open secret that she is the party’s choice for the parliamentary constituency

Wow! 7 glamorous ‘babes’ at MCA do: Was it necessary?
The presence of seven glamorous-looking young women at the MCA Youth annual general meeting (AGM) last Saturday turned heads of delegates and made the front pages of several newspapers the next day.
After being cued by the AGM chairperson, the seven led a group of women who strutted into the hall single-file, smiling for the cameras before being ushered to their seats.
The move was part of a symbolic prelude to MCA Youth opening its doors to women members next year.
Although seven young women – two of them in mini-skirts – were at ease with the clicking of press cameras, the lack of any interviews and the overall choreographed nature of the event sparked questions as to whether they were there to serve as ‘eye candy’.
Photographs of the group have been heavily circulated online, particularly on Facebook, leading to some to ask if the women were hired as part of an elaborate publicity stunt.
