KUALA LUMPUR: Police have picked up a 17-year-old boy to facilitate a probe into a brazen armed robbery in Ara Damansara last Wednesday.
Petaling Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zani Che Din said the suspect was arrested at a flat unit in Bandar Kinrara, Puchong at 10am today.
“He will be taken to court tomorrow for remand,” he said in a statement.
The teenager was said to have gone into hiding after the video clips of two women allegedly being mugged by an armed robber in Ara Damansara started to circulate on social media.

Videos of brazen armed robbery goes viral
PETALING JAYA: Two videos of a woman allegedly being mugged by an armed robber in Ara Damansara here has been going viral on social media and messaging apps.
The videos, which are one minute, 15 seconds and 35 seconds long respectively, had a date and time stamp in the right upper corner, showing that the incident occurred on Oct 5 at 3.40am.
It showed a blue Myvi at a boom gate when a white car pulls up and stops directly behind it.
A man in a black T-shirt and grey shorts suddenly exits the white car brandishing a long parang.
