New Immigration boss leads Puchong nightspots raid

PUCHONG: Just two days after he clocked in as the new Immigration Department director-general, Datuk Mustafar Ali led a team of 50 immigration officers in a raid here, tonight.

The operation, which began at 11.30pm, saw 110 people screened at three pubs in Bandar Baru Puchong. From the total, the authorities detained 84 illegal immigrants and three employers’ representatives of various nationalities for offences under the Immigration Act 1959/63, Passport Act 1966 and the Immigration Rules 1963.
