I was 20 years old when i found out that SG's ethnic housing quota plan was in fact used to suppress malay voters, so that they wont be a majority in any singaporean district. #themoreyouknow

So, during election times, the govt found out that malay voters predominantly vote for opposition parties. And since they lived together last time "kampong stylez", the govt sought to erase their dominance in few areas citing "racial harmony".

Thanks to hdb ethnic quotas, every district is made up of majority chinese. Brown people lost our political leverage and ability to send a politician to represent our interests solely to parliament

Same i got my info from her and yes! her work doesnt have the atas vocab bullshit. Activists need to stop using academic words to explain their viewpoints tbh, its so elitist.

I think not just Malay right? They meant to break ethnic enclaves & while Malay voters had a higher tendency to vote for the opposition I am wondering if Indians did too? I can't remember! But the govt would no doubt have a ~special~ relationship with the natives of the country
