KUALA LUMPUR: Black 505 supporters staged a final flash mob in the city Friday to drum up support ahead of the Saturday rally in Padang Merbok.

In contrast to previous flash mobs, the group of nine supporters from Solidariti Anak Muda Malaysia (SAMM) and Solidariti Mahasiswa Malaysia (SMM) kept it low key and walked around the city to promote their cause.

They held up placards that read “We are Malaysians, We are not terrorists” and “Keep Calm and Continue Democracy”, among others.

The demonstration began at around 6pm at the Sogo shopping complex along Jalan Raja Laut before proceeding to the Masjid Jamek LRT station, UTC Pudu Sentral and Petaling Street before ending at KL/Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall.

SAMM Federal Territories coordinator Shariful Azmir Mustafa said the flash mob was planned at the last minute to urge people to attend tomorrow’s rally.

No police officers were seen as the group made their way around the city.

Kenyataan Terbuka

SENARAI AKSI FLASHMOB #SuaraRakyat505 Menuju #KL622#Black505 20&21HB (HARI INI DAN ESOK)

Flashmob TERENGGANU | Khamis 20Jun | 5pm | Depan Giant K.T’ganu
Flashmob KEMAMAN | Khamis | 20Jun | 5pm | Depan Centre Point
FlashMob PERLIS | Khamis | 20 Jun | 5 Petang | Bulatan Persiaran Jubli Emas Kangar
Flashmob MELAKA | Khamis 20 Jun | 6pm | Jalan Utama Bandar Melaka (Sebelah Tesco Bandar Melaka)|
Flashmob SEREMBAN | Khamis 20 Jun | 5pm | Dataran Seremban
Flashmob KUANTAN (repeat) | Khamis 20 Jun | 5pm | (Tempat dirahsiakan)
Flashmob KELANTAN | Jumaat 21 Jun | 8.30am | Depan pejabat R, Tanjung, Jln Kuala Krai-K.B
Flashmob PERAK | Jumaat 21 Jun | 5pm | Simpang Empat Pau Yik Mun, Tanjung Malim | Bersama SAMM Perak & Mahasiswa UPSI
Flashmob RAWANG | Jumaat 21 Jun | 5pm | Stesen Komuter Rawang & Stesen Bas Rawang (mydin)
Grand Finale Flashmob KUALA LUMPUR | Jumaat 21 Jun | (Lokasi dirahsiakan)

Ayuh anak muda kita ‘warm up’ dulu sebelum masuk aksi sebenar 22 Jun.

Kita tunjukkan RAKYAT KEDEPAN!

PR trio called up by cops, flash mobs in demand: World looks at M’sia on June 22 – Anwar

Flash mobs now in demand all over the nation

A series of flash mobs organized in conjunction with the June 22 event have also been hugely successful.

Main organizer, Solidariti Anak Muda Malaysia, has released the latest timetable (scroll below)for the flash mobs.

“The police intervened and arrested more than 15 participants at the first two flash mobs which took place in Kuala Lumpur. That has not stopped the young people in this country. Instead, they now want to take more than before. The tyranny and oppression on June 15 has awakened nationwide interest and demand for the flash mobs to be held in all the cities and towns,” Edy Noor Reduan, the propaganda director of SAMM, said in a statement to Malaysia Chronicle.

“Let our young ‘warm up’ before the first real action on June 22. Droves will come to the Padang Merbok and they will not leave until the Election Commission chief and his deputy resign.”

Flashmobs to count down to ‘Black 505’ rally

The organisers of the June 22 ‘Black 505’ rally plan to hold two flashmobs leading up to the rally to build momentum, said Solidariti Anak Muda Malaysia (SAMM) chief Badrul Hisham Shaharin.

The first will be held at 2pm tomorrow along Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman centred around the Sogo shopping centre, while the next will be at 6pm on June 19 in Jalan Tun Perak.

The flashmobs will be capped by a final countdown at the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall on Jun 21.

“On that final night, participants will be given a final briefing for the big day on June 22, the day the rakyat show their rejection of electoral fraud during the general election,” said Badrulat a press conference this morning.
