Ambiga: Video clip forms ‘real basis’ for phantom voter claim
UPDATED @ 08:38:50 PM 04-05-2013
PETALING JAYA, May 4 — A just-released video of foreigners suspected to have been flown in to vote in tomorrow’s polls shows that there is “real basis” for such allegations, Bersih co-chairman Datuk Ambiga Sreenevasan said today.
She said the video provided by Asalkan Bukan Umno (ABU) leader Haris Ibrahim adds to the body of evidence already reported in the media.
In the video screened at a news conference here today, which Haris took during the early hours of yesterday morning outside KLIA, six vans ― two of which bore the logo of the federal RISDA agency ― were shown preparing to transport Nepalese nationals, who had just arrived on a Malindo Air flight, to oil palm plantations in the peninsula.
“There is real basis for the conclusion that people are being brought in and we believe many of them foreigners, they may well have ICs as per Project IC and that they were brought in for a certain purpose,” Ambiga said.
Haris said that upon obtaining information that a chartered flight ― MH 8611 ― was due to arrive in KLIA at 1.30am yesterday, he had put together a group of 30 people to stake out the airport.
“The MH8611 that came in apparently was empty. But a Malindo flight we detected had Nepali nationals,” he said.
He said that the Nepalis, whom he estimated to number about 100, had exited through the arrival hall ― not through cargo holds as had been reported with previous batches ― and that they had been received by the six vans.
“They confirmed they were Nepalese. They said they were brought here to be taken to oil palm plantations.
“Those who were on hand to facilitate and assist were upset that we were taking photographs. We asked why their workers, if they were private workers, were being picked up in RiSDA vans. No answer,” he added
Haris also said that he and his team had tailed the vans but there were attempts to prevent them following.
“They would stop on the roadside in the hope that we would also stop, and they would drive into the lay-by and wait for half an hour, and when they saw we were not moving they would then take off,” he said.
“All that left us convinced that these were not all just genuine workers brought to KL for no other reason but for deployment to places of work.”
However, he said they were unsuccessful in tracing the final destination of the vans.
Dubious voters found to have participated in electoral fraud in the Klang parliamentary constituency in tomorrow’s polls will be subjected to citizen’s arrest.
Incumbent MP Charles Santiago said he has to take matters into his own hands as he and his team have marked at least 2,000 questionable voters in the Klang electoral roll.
571 of those voters are already on the dubious voters list from the Sabah royal commission of inquiry (RCI) into illegal voters.
Santiago said as a formality, the list of all these voters will be sent to the Election Commission (EC) but he does not expect the EC to act on the list.
“They won’t act on it because the law says they can’t cancel out names from a gazetted electoral roll,” he told Malaysiakini today when contacted.
As such, the names will also be given to all of the polling agents from Santiago’s team, who intends to conduct citizen’s arrest if they manage to find anyone from these lists turning up to vote.
IS THIS TRUE? Bangla Deshi registered to vote?
As suggested, I keyed the IC no. into the SPR website and I saw the name and the place he is to vote at!

Impossible for foreigners to vote in GE13, says deputy IGP
By Boo Su-Lyn
May 04, 2013
KUALA LUMPUR, May 4 — It is impossible for foreigners to vote in tomorrow’s polls and police will act if it happens, Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said today amid fears of widespread electoral fraud.
He said no police reports have been lodged on phantom voters planning to cast their ballots in Election 2013, adding that additional flights at this time are not unusual.
“There are rumours that many foreigners will be brought in to vote — Bangladeshis, Filipinos, Indonesians — but it is impossible that this will happen,” Khalid told reporters at the Bukit Aman police headquarters here.
“We will assist SPR in making sure that there are no phantom voters… if SPR informs us that unregistered voters are trying to come in, we’ll take action,” he said, referring to the Election Commission (EC) by its Malay acronym.

Emails from Air Asia & MAS expose desperate Najib in airlifting of ILLEGAL VOTERS
Written by Sarawak Report
Down at the airport is where it is happening with the Malaysian elections right now. Secret flights are heading out loaded with cash.
Meanwhile overloaded chartered jets are flying in crowded with foreign workers, suspected of being dragooned into voting for BN.
It would appear that the rats are leaving the sinking ship, while the PM is still desperately trying to win this election “at any cost”
Emails from Air Asia and Malaysian Airlines (MAS) expose a desperate PM
Emails leaked to the opposition by staff working at both Air Asia and MAS have left Najib Razak desperately exposed.
They indicate that while his departing henchmen and rich businessmen have increasingly been losing faith that he can win this election, the PM has been caught red-handed trying to ferry tens of thousands of dubious voters over to KL to influence the outcome!
Staff insiders at Air Asia and MAS have just leaked the devastating email interchanges, which lay bare the whole operation with both sets of emails implicating the Prime Minister personally in the extraordinary operation.
As his UMNO troops have started to desert in their private jets, can the PM survive this devastating exposure?
And today Najib indeed appears to have been caught red-handed, bringing in dubious workers from the two East Malaysian states to vote BN in marginal seats in peninsular Malaysia.
The leaked emails indicate that the Prime Minister has been urgently coordinating the chartering of massive 747s to ship over 40,000 Indonesians or East Malaysians from Kuching and KK, airports, backwaters that normally never see the like of such aircraft.
The incriminating evidence is there in snapshots, emails and aircraft information that are currently going viral on the web.
Both the emails leaked from Air Asia and MAS indicate that the matter is being coordinated by the Prime Minister’s office. One from MAS makes plain that the chartered planes are to “ferry voters and election workers from BKE and KCH”.
Since when did these sleepy plantation states become packed with poor West Malaysian workers needing charter flights back to KL or indeed East Malaysian, who might be registered in West Malaysia and need to go back to vote?
Suspicions are now rife that many of these individuals may be foreign plantation workers, doing their masters’ bidding.
Moreover, while all names are obliterated from the MAS emails, the ones from Air Asia show clearly who many of the key writers and recipients of the emails are. They include the Chief Executive Aireen Omar.
See this smoking gun email below from Omar with a second reference to the need to report back to the PM herself:
One wonders how BN has the brass necked cheek to pose as the party of ‘stability’ when it indulges in such grossly provocative acts as this plan to plane and then bus thousands of foreigners to the polling stations of such places as Selangor on Sunday?
As per Tony’s email!
The involvement of the Chairman of Air Asia is also plain in this trail of emails. Tony Fernandez (now world famous as the owner of QPR Football Club) is the BN client and supposed ‘whizz kid’, who went from nowhere to the head of a major airline in a twinkling of an eye having caught the eye of Mahathir some years back.
He clearly owes his political allies some loyalty:
Anwar Ibrahim has released this compelling evidence of the ‘vote flying’ in an urgent press statement followed by a release of the evidence that BN are now being forced to struggle to explain.
About 100 Sabahans living and working in the peninsula today arrived in Kota Kinabalu via a mysterious Malaysia Airlines chartered flight.
None of the passengers approached by Malaysiakini at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport knew who sponsored their flight home, but said that they had to prove they were registered voters before being included on the list.
Most said they found out through friends, while others, like 30-year-old therapist Nurina Salim, was advised by state foundation Yayasan Sabah.
Victor, 35, who works in a supermarket in Hulu Kelang, Selangor, said he found out at the last minute and spent the night at the KL International Airport as he was put on the waiting list.
Another passenger, Amsiaji, 28 (left in photo), from Semporna, said the trip home was paid for by “BN people”, but he was not told who to vote for.
Vonney Stefani Pajoi, a Penampang voter, said that she found out about the free flights through a notice at her church in Nilai, Negri Sembilan, where she lives.
“I just can’t wait to vote! Ini kali lah!” she said, adding that even her three school-going children were sponsored for the trip back to their hometown.
Goodie bags and T-shirts given
Workers giving out goodie bags to passengers were tight-lipped about the programme, but it is understood that the flight is one of several chartered for the purpose of flying home Sabahan voters from Thursday until tomorrow.
Passengers were given T-shirts which read, ‘Peace, Stability and Progress. Najib for Malaysia’.
“I heard Najib himself sponsored the flights,” said first-time voter Samuel Kapong (right), 25, who found out about the deal through Facebook.
But will the free flights convince him to vote to keep Najib as prime minister? “My vote is secret,” Samuel said, smiling.
The passengers’ testimonials refute claims by DAP Likas candidate Junz Wong, who alleged that ‘foreigners’ were being flown in masses to Kota Kinabalu yesterday.
“So I urge all voters to come out to vote as phantom voters can assume your identity if you do not.
“Come out to vote for Pakatan Rakyat en bloc to cancel out the effect of any phantom voters,” Wong said.

Are these dubious voters or foreign workers?
FMT readers have snapped photographs of foreigners with BN T-shirts arriving at airports today.
PETALING JAYA: Are these some of the foreigners who are being flown into Peninsular Malaysia from Sabah to allegedly vote for Barisan Nasional?
FMT readers today e-mailed us photographs taken at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) in Sepang showing the arrival of these foreigners, some of whom were wearing BN T-shirts, and others seen putting on 1Malaysia caps.
According to FMT readers, these new arrivals were whisked away from the arrival hall and taken away to waiting busses.
“There are also some people who act as guards, protecting these new arrivals. They are bundled together and taken away,” said a reader who wanted to remain anonymous.
Another reader said the new arrivals at the LCCT were “protected” by police personnel and taken away from the main arrival hall.
It must be stated that it could not be confirmed if these new arrivals are dubious voters or genuine legal foreign workers arriving to work in Malaysia.
However, the timing of the arrival so close to the general election as well as their BN T-shirts do raise some doubts
Pakatan tells airline staff, voters to help defeat alleged fraud
UPDATED @ 04:30:27 PM 03-05-2013
KUALA LUMPUR, May 3 — Pakatan Rakyat (PR) has called on airline employees and voters to help fight fraud in the May 5 general election amid claims that over 40,000 dubious voters, including foreigners from Sabah and Sarawak, have been flown in since last week to key states in the peninsula like Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.
The ruling coalition’s secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Mansor said yesterday that “friends” of BN are helping them fly voters back to peninsula but stressed that the flights were sponsored by “friends” of BN as part of the party’s “get out the vote” campaign for Election 2013.
“The statement by Tengku Adnan is raising concerns that there is a planned attempt to tamper with the elections in Selangor,” Abdul Khalid, who is also the state’s caretaker mentri besar, told a press conference here.
“Therefore, we appeal to staff involved like pilots, crew and technical staff not to be involved in activities that are against the law,” he added.
ELECTION COMMISSION, WHICH COMES UNDER THE PRIME MINISTER’S OFFICE, SAYS IT’S OK TO FLY VOTERS IN.
AMBIGA SAYS, “NO. IT’S NOT ALRIGHT!”
Okay to fly in voters, says EC
UPDATED @ 12:53:35 PM 03-05-2013
PUTRAJAYA, May 3 — The Election Commission (EC) said today that it is fine for individuals to ferry voters as long as the beneficiaries are not asked to vote for certain political parties or candidates.
Yesterday, Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor admitted that voters were being flown in to the peninsula, but stressed that the flights were sponsored by “friends” of BN as part of the party’s “get out the vote” campaign for Election 2013.
“It’s okay … But if they give tickets, money, then ask voters to choose this party or this candidate, then that’s wrong,” said EC chairman Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof
Election offence to provide flights for voters, says Ambiga
KUALA LUMPUR, May 3 — “Friends” of Barisan Nasional (BN) have committed an election offence by flying in voters from east Malaysia to key states in the peninsula, says senior lawyer Datuk Ambiga Sreenevasan.
Ambiga, who is the co-chair of polls watchdog Bersih, also said such flights were “very suspicious” and pointed out that it was usually Sabahans and Sarawakians working in the peninsula who have to fly back home to vote in the Borneo states, and not the other way round.
“It’s an offence under 20(6)(b),” Ambiga told The Malaysian Insider late last night, referring to the Election Offences Act 1954.
The prominent lawyer pointed out that under that section, voters may be ferried to their polling stations across the sea, but that such transportation must be provided to all voters.
She noted, however, that since such flights were provided by “friends” of BN, it was likely that the flights were only for those voting for the coalition.
“You’ve got to give it to everybody. That’s the test. You can’t be selective,” said Ambiga.
THEY DENY IT. WHAT ELSE WOULD YOU EXPECT?
BN secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor has denied PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim’s claims that “dubious” voters from East Malaysia will be flown in chartered flights to the peninsula to vote on Sunday.
Bernama quoted him as saying that the flights were in fact organised and paid for by “friends of BN” to send “registered” voters back to their hometowns to vote.
“There is no substance whatsoever to opposition allegations that passengers were anything other than registered Malaysian voters,” he reportedly said.
IF THIS IS TRUE,WE ARE IN BIG TROUBLE. See the following link, Bangladeshis arriving at our Airport to vote in Malaysia next week-end. Just see who is coming to vote in Malaysia and decide our future ~ I wonder who organized it??????????
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) is allegedly involved in purported operations to fly in dubious voters from East Malaysia to the peninsula, PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim said today.
Anwar said that his party has obtained photographic and documented evidence that 16 chartered flights have been flying to the peninsula everyday from various locations in East Malaysia.
By Sunday, which is polling day, at least 40,500 people would have been flown in through such flights, he said.
Anwar the passenger manifests that are in the possession of PKR reveal that the passengers are mainly foreign nationals.
Anwar also said that the party has obtained a copy of email communications within Malaysian Airlines (MAS) that made a direct reference to the PMO in relation to the chartered flights.
However, copies of these documents were not shown to the media because, the opposition leader said, the party has not decided on its next course of action yet.
This morning, I will be disclosing information and findings regarding the sudden surge in the arrival of dubious individuals on chartered flights since April 25th. These are foreign nationals as well as Malaysians from Sabah and Sarawak who have been flown in to Peninsula Malaysia. We have also received information that there has been a sudden surge in the arrivals of foreign workers from Thailand, Cambodia, Pakistan and Myanmar through Bukti Kayu Hitam as well those from Indonesia through Port Kelang and other coastal entry points. The timing of this surge in arrivals and its sheer size raises naturally raises the question of whether they have been transported here surreptitiously to vote in favour of Barisan Nasional. We also received information that these flights were made at the instruction of the Prime Minister’s Department and made through a letter signed by a minister. The facts that we have established so far are:1. The number of these flights, as many as 16 per day from East Malaysia primarily departing from Kuching and Kota Kinabalu as well as Sandakan, Miri and Sibu, with some flights using jumbo jets. The number of charter flights per day is more than even the number of charter flights during the Haj season.2. Based on our calculations, as many as 4,500 people are being transported via the in-bound flights into KLIA each day. This has been taking place each day with the exception of May 1st, since April 25th.3. This means at least 40,500 dubious individuals have and are still entering via this method of chartered flights via KLIA. This does not include foreign nationals who are being moved through land routes and seaports or other airport facilities such as LCCT.4. The points of arrival of these flights have been KLIA Sepang as well as Bayan Lepas and Senai. We also have information that military aircraft (C130 Hercules) are being used to bring in these phantom voters to land in smaller airports such as Batu Berendam and Ipoh.5. We have credible documentary evidence that these groups of foreign nationals are being transported from the airports to various sequestration points within Selangor / Kuala Lumpur and the other affected states using transport provided by various government agencies as well as charted bus operators; We believe that the Election Commission in collaboration with the Prime Minister’s Office, and the involvement of a number of other agencies are involved in this operation. We now demand answers to the following questions from the relevant parties:1. Can the Inspector General of Police and the Chief of the Armed Forces assure us that the Royal Malaysian Police and Malaysian Armed Forces are neutral professionals and are not involved in a plot to keep Barisan Nasional in power?2. Can both of them confirm that their intelligence personnel are not involved in orchestrating the movement of these dubious people?3. Can the Chief of Armed Forces explain if the various Territorial Army (Askar Wataniah) camps have been used as accommodation centers for these dubious individuals?4. Can the Director General of Immigration explain the role of the various depots in Lenggeng, Sepang and Semenyih in providing accommodation these foreign phantom voters?
Can the Director General of the National Registration Department explain whether foreign workers in the Sepang Formula 1 Circuit and KLIA have been given Malaysian identity cards? We warn the Election Commission and its cahoots that there are many patriotic Malaysians in the various security agencies, airlines and airport employees who are angry and upset that the sovereignty of the country is being compromised. These patriots are monitoring and documenting all the suspicious movements groups of individuals. We have video recordings, photographic evidence and documents to support our claims. We also have the flight schedule of these chartered flights.
We want to warn the current Barisoan Nasional caretaker government not to deny Malaysians their democratic rights to vote freely and fairly. They should also not exploit powerless and marginalized foreign nationals or Malaysians for their goal of staying in power.I also call upon Malaysians to document all evidence of the inflow of these imported voters. Take photos or videos of their movements. For those have in any way been involved in this operation, please forward to us the evidences that you have. We must protect the sovereignty of the rakyat. Finally, we urge every single voter who loves Malaysia to come out to take control of our destiny by voting and not let the BN steal our election by using these dubious voters. If Pakatan Rakyat, Insyallah, is given the mandate by the rakyat, we will declare 6th May 2013 a national holiday to allow Malaysia to return home after the voting exercise. We must overwhelm these imported voters with our high turnout to ensure our dignity and sovereignty. Let us exorcise this country from the demons of BN and the Election Commission.Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim

‘Explain PMO’s role in flying in dubious voters’
As many as 30,000 and more foreigners are being moved to the Peninsular from Sabah and Sarawak, claims Anwar Ibrahim.
PETALING JAYA: Anwar Ibrahim wants caretaker Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak to explain the Prime Minister’s Office’s alleged role in moving 30,000 foreigners from Sabah and Sarawak to the Peninsular within the next three days.
“We have received information that chartered 747 jets, as many as 16 flights a day [will be used]. We have credible documentary evidence.
“Why is the Prime Minister’s Office involved, Najib?” the Pakatan Rakyat supremo asked during a press conference held at the PKR headquarters this morning.
He revealed that on average some 4,500 people were moved in 16 flights daily from East Malaysia, especially from Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan in Sabah and Sibu and Miri in Sarawak.
Bersih wants MAS to clarify
In another press conference today, Bersih 2.0 urged Malaysian Airlines (MAS) to clarify claims that Umno had been flying East Malaysians into Peninsular to vote.
“Based on reports, it appears that Boeing-747s are being used, and this is unusual because MAS had stopped using 747s,” Bersih co-chair S Ambiga told a press conference here.
“We hear the flights are happening in wee hours in the morning. We need to hear from MAS themselves if this is happening,” she added.
Ambiga explained it was impossible to hide flight activity – “flying and landing times, and passenger manifest” – and called upon MAS to release a “full disclosure” to the public within 24 hours.
“All I am asking is for a full, frank disclosure by MAS. When a plane flies, it is not confidential,” she said.
“Once MAS has come clean about it, we can put the matter to rest so the public are not in position of speculating,” she added.
