Pro-Umno blogger Papagomo has been released by the police today, having completed the three-day remand order on him.
This was confirmed to Malaysiakini by Federal Commercial Crime Investigations Department director Syed Ismail Syed Azizan.
“We have decided to release the blogger as we want to fine-tune the investigations further. We obtained a three-day remand order for Papagomo on Wednesday and it ends today,” Syed Ismail said.
“Yesterday, we released another (pro-PKR) blogger King Jason, after his two day remand order expired,” he said.

Blogger King Jason kini ditahan reman selama dua hari bermula 8 hingga 9 Mei manakala Papagomo ditahan reman selama 3 hari bermula 8 hingga 10 Mei 2013. Kedua-dua mereka ditahan reman bagi siasatan lanjut siasatan atas kesalahan memfitnah Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) dan kenyataan berunsur perkauman.
Kes disiasat di bawah Seksyen 233 Akta Komunikasi dan Multimedia 1998 / Seksyen 500 Kanun Keseksaan yang boleh dihukum penjara tidak melebihi 1 tahun, denda RM50,000 atau kedua-duanya dan di bawah Seksyen 233 Akta Komunikasi dan Multimedia 1998 / Seksyen 4(1) Akta Hasutan yang mana membawa hukuman penjara tidak melebihi 1 tahun, denda RM50,000 atau kedua-duanya sekali.
DEVELOPMENT OF INVESTIGATION ON THE CASE 2 BLOGGER:
Blogger Jason King were remanded for two days from 8 to May 9 while Papagomo remanded for three days from 8 to May 10, 2013. Both of them were remanded for further investigation for sedition probe of the Royal Malaysian Police (RMP) and a racist statement.
The case is being investigated under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 / Section 500 of the Penal Code which is punishable with imprisonment not exceeding one year, a fine of RM50, 000 or both and under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 / Section 4 (1) of the Act provocation which carries a jail term not exceeding one year, a fine of RM50, 000 or both.

Pro-Umno blogger Papagomo has been arrested, according to a tweet by the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) on Twitter.
Pro-Pakatan blogger King Jason has also been arrested.
“Papagomo and King Jason were arrested to facilitate police investigation,” the posting read.
The latest posting by Papagomo contained racial remarks against Chinese Malaysians, while King Jason’s posting accused BN of buying votes.
According to Free Malaysia Today, a PKR member in Sarawak had lodged a police report against Papagomo over a comment in his blog which urged Chinese Malaysians to be harmed.
Police sources in Bukit Aman also said that they are also looking for two other bloggers who may have allegedly posted articles or statements which touch on racial lines.

Police report against Papagomo
A Sarawak PKR member wants the police to arrest Umno-blogger Papagomo and a reader for provoking Malays to “rise” and “slaughter” the Chinese.
KUCHING: A Sarawak PKR’s women wing member today lodged a police report against blogger Papagomo and a reader – Shahrizad Mohd Diah – for allegedly calling on all Malays to riot against the Chinese for voting for the opposition.
The report was filed by Jamilah Baharuddin at the Simpang Tiga police station. Later she filed another report at the Sungai Maong police Station.
She was accompanied by Simon Siah, a lawyer and a PKR youth wing vice-chairman, and Patricia Ainon Daweg, a PKR member.
Jamilah alleged that the postings came from Papagomo, a well-known pro-Umno blogger, and Shahrizad Mohd Diah, a financial adviser who also claimed to be a managing director of MD Property Development Sdn Bhd.
Shahrizad allegedly suggested that on May 13, the “Malays should rise, riot and kill all Chinese bastards in Malaysia, and slaughter them like slaughtering pigs.”
“This is the only way,” he had allegedly said in a comment posted on Papagomo’s blog.
Papagomo in his posting allegedly said that Chinese in DAP ‘wajib ditendang’ (kicked) even though if it means bloodshed.
Jamillah said that she being a Malay was shocked to read such statements coming from the two persons.
“I am sure other Malays do not share their statements,” she said, pointing out that “we cannot blame the Chinese for supporting the opposition”.
She called on the police authorities to immediately take action against the duo for allegedly inciting the Malays to riot on May 13 as a pre-empt action.
Jamilah also urged the people to remain calm.

FB user on pro-UMNO blog urges May 13 ‘slaughter’

May 6: Several netizens have contacted Harakahdaily over a call by a Facebook user urging Malays to “slaughter” the Chinese on the coming May 13.
The extremely racist remark by Facebook user Shahrizad Mohd Diah has been posted on the website of UMNO’s Papagomo at 7.56 pm this evening as a response to an equally racist ranting by the blogger today, in which the latter declared it is a “must” to fight the “DAP Chinese” even if it means spilling blood.
“aku cadangkan 13 mei ini org melayu bangkit merusuh dan bunuh semua cina keparat di malaysia ini. itu jua caranya. sembelih cina macam babi,” runs a comment posted via Facebook by the user.
(Translation: “I suggest that on the coming May 13, Malays rise up to riot and kill all the Chinese in Malaysia. That’s the only way. Slaughter the Chinese like pigs.”)
On the user’s Facebook details (www.facebook.com/shahrizad.diah), it is claimed that he is “Managing Director at MD Property Development Plc, Agency Manager at Ambank Assurance and Agency Manager at CIMB Wealth Adviser”.
He also claims to have taught at the International Islamic University, and attended school at St. John’s Institution, Kuala Lumpur and Malay College Kuala Kangsar.
Shockingly, his comments have even earned a few ‘likes’ from fans of Papagomo.
On the same page, the blogger among others posted what he claims is the Malay translation of a leaflet in Chinese calling for the community to take political control from the Malays. The blogger, who has no qualms of posting pornographic images on his blog, also claims that DAP is behind the leaflet, without showing any image of the original.
