Wanita Gerakan insulted by bra-wearing man at Bersih 4

GEORGE TOWN: Penang’s Wanita Gerakan have expressed outrage at a half-naked man who wore a yellow coloured brassiere and paraded himself around during the Bersih 4 rally last weekend.

The wing’s acting head Hartini Tan, urged the man to publicly apologise to all women in the country for his insulting behaviour.

She said it was astonishing to see the half-naked man wearing a bra printed with the words Bersih 4.0 posing while surrounded by an amused crowd of onlookers.

“Yet, no Bersih volunteers present at the scene stopped the unruly and disgusting behaviour of this man.

“He has insulted the dignity and modesty of women,” cried out Hartini , slamming the rally organisers themselves for failing to stop or reprimand the protestor.

“The man was allowed to run around publicly wearing a brassiere,” she said in a statement.
