MYSTERY surrounds the discovery of a “sea monster” which has washed ashore in New Zealand.
With rows of jagged teeth, a gaping jaw and its guts torn out, the beast’s 30-foot-long mutilated carcass was found half-buried in sand on a popular stretch of coast.
It has sparked a frantic guessing game as locals on Pukehina Beach – about 120 miles south-east of Auckland – try to fathom what the creature from the deep is.
