Currently, my blog has 752,843 hits, so I am ahead of schedule in reaching the next milestone, 1,000,000 hits. That should take 5-6 months more, that is, in May/June 2014.
That is way ahead of schedule: originally, the date was expected to be in November/December 2015.
That will be a difference of more than a year: 18 months!

Progress is good!
To get to 1,000,000 views in 17 months, that is, by November/December 2015, my Blog has to receive an average of 1,000 views a day.
This means that in the period 9-21 June, a total of 13 days, the total has to be at least 13,000 views.
That figure has been surpassed.
On 21 June 2013, the figure is 33,289, an excess of 20,289 views.

A NEW MILE STONE
My first Post was published on 7 September 2011.
Today, 8 June, 2013, about 22 months later, my blog has reached the half million mark. To be precise, 500,411 views.
My first Post was published on 7 September 2011.
It has, therefore, taken 22 months to reach this figure. That means an average of about 770 views a day or about 23,000 views a month.
Now, my blog averages 1,000 views a day.
To get to 1,000,000 views, it will take about 17 months to hit that target at an average of 1,000 views a day or 30,000 views a month.
Expected date for the 1,000,000th view: November/December 2015.
