Red Shirts chief files police report over alleged death threat from Sungai Besar Umno division chief Jamal Yunos.

KUALA LUMPUR: Alleging he was on the receiving end of a death threat from an Umno division chief, Red Shirts leader Mohd Ali Baharom said he is not afraid, and instead responded with a challenge to a fist fight.

Ali, who is more popularly known as Ali Tinju, today alleged that Sungai Besar Umno division chief Jamal Md Yunos threatened to beat him up and shoot him, following a statement the former made that Barisan Nasional (BN) would lose badly should Jamal be made a candidate in the upcoming Sungai Besar by-election.

Having lodged a police report on the alleged death threat today, Ali Tinju claimed Jamal made the threats in a phone call yesterday.

“I want to advice Jamal not to be arrogant and egotistical with the pistol he has. This country has laws. His action only serves to humiliate Umno.

“If Jamal shoots an Umno member, that is if he shoots me, Datuk Seri Najib’s warrior, then who is going to look after Datuk Seri Najib and Datin Seri Rosmah?

“I don’t have any interests, so why shoot me? I’m Ali Tinju, I’m not shaken. If Datuk Jamal wants to fight, find a ring and punch it out with me, that is if he is man enough.

“Don’t think because you have money, you can pay people. We are an NGO, we are not stupid,” Ali Tinju said.
