KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor and Kuala Lumpur police are liaising to identify several suspects linked to the discovery of seven bombs at a condominium in Damansara Perdana early yesterday.

Selangor CID chief Datuk Mohd Adnan Abdullah said the police were in the midst of tracking down a suspect with previous criminal records in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.

He said this at a media conference after a handing-over of duties ceremony involving the Kajang police chief at the district police headquarters here today.

Meanwhile, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said the homemade bombs found were not related to the Daesh militant group or other terrorist groups.

PETALING JAYA, April 17 — Five homemade bombs were found in a condominium in Damansara Perdana this morning following a police raid.

The improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were discovered in a 17th-floor condominium during the raid, where two local suspects, who are believed to be the bomb makers, escaped before the raid.

The 8.30am incident saw police and Fire and Rescue Department personnel called to the scene.

Almost 200 residents were evacuated from their condominiums.

The suspects had rented the unit and a statement was being recorded from the owner.
