Police: Year Two pupil who cut tip of his tongue not bullied
SHAH ALAM: There was no element of bullying in the case of a Year Two pupil who snipped off the tip of his tongue with a pair of scissors, said police.
The eight-year-old boy earlier alleged that he was bullied by five older boys.
Selangor police chief Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Abdul Samah Mat said investigation revealed that the boy had hurt himself during a class.
“He was not bullied as claimed.
“Police investigation showed that the boy had played with a pair of scissors taken from the pencil case of his classmate during a class attended by 34 pupils and a female teacher.
“He hurt his tongue when playing with the scissors,” SDCP Abdul Samah said when met after pinning new ranks for police officers during a ceremony held at the Selangor police contingent hall here Thursday.

Tongue-cut boy: I want to go to my village
KLANG: The eight-year-old boy who was forced to cut his own tongue in a bullying incident at a school, does not want to face his bullies again and wants to attend school elsewhere.
The boy’s mother, 28-year-old Siti Nurhuda Ibrahim said she and her husband, Alias Abdullah, 34, had thought of transferring their eldest son to another school several months ago when he complained that he was unhappy at school.
“At first, we thought that it was only some small conflicts with other schoolmates that is rather normal at school. So we sat on the matter.
“However, after this incident, we are really going to move him out,” she said at her home at Bukit Tinggi.
