WORDS OF WISDOM: REMOVE NAJIB & ROSMAH & PEACE & PROSPERITY WILL RETURN – LIONG SIK
Former MCA president Dr Ling Liong Sik spared no bullets in his latest attack on Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, with whom he is embroiled in a legal battle.
According to Ling, there is nothing wrong with Umno and BN.
“It is only Najib and (the prime minister’s wife) Rosmah (Mansor).
“We remove Najib and Rosmah, the country will return to normal. Peace, stability and progress will return to Malaysia,” he told a press conference in Kajang, Selangor.
Ling was responding to a question on his decision to participate in the Bersih 4 rally, and his accusations against Najib in regard to the RM2.6 billion donation.
Ling said he has no personal grouses with Rosmah, but feels she is involved in the issues together with her husband.
“There are two of them involved. I may be wrong, if only Najib, (then) Najib lah,” he said.
The former MCA president also took a swipe at attorney-general Mohamed Apandi Ali’s statement that Najib had returned RM2.03 billion to the donor.
“People are shocked,” he said in response to a question on this.
“I was having a dinner with an ex-minister, and he asked me to name one person who is given RM2.6 billion and returns it.
“(This) cannot be true. Do you believe it? If you return RM10 which I gave you, it’s okay (but not RM2.6 billion).
“You are taking the people for fools,” he added.
“I am waiting for the court case (to start). I am waiting to see him in court. Since he sued me, he would appear (as the first) witness,” he said.
Asked if he would pose tough questions to Najib on the RM2.6 billion issue in court through his counsel, Ling said he has instructed his lawyers to do whatever (it takes) to win the case.
“My instruction is to win the case, whatever it (takes) to win it,” he said.
Last month, Apandi cleared Najib of any wrongdoing in the RM2.6 billion and SRC International Sdn Bhd’s RM42 million transferred into the prime minister’s personal accounts.
The attorney-general also revealed that the prime minister returned RM2.03 billion to the donor, who is said to be a Saudi royalty.
Najib has repeatedly denied abusing public funds for personal gain and blamed such allegations on those attempting to topple him.
The prime minister is suing Ling for implying that he misappropriated public funds. – MKINI
