Robber fires shot in convenience store hold-up

A man fired a shot at a cigarette rack as he and two accomplices robbed a 24-hour convenience store on Jalan Dang Wangi, Kuala Lumpur, early today.

The gunman fired at the cigarette rack after a store worker shouted at the trio for snatching cigarettes, beer and snack items in the 3.19am hold-up.

Dang Wangi police chief Zainol Samah said the robbers fled with the loot, adding that a closed-circuit television camera recording showed that seven other accomplices were waiting outside the store. – Bernama, November 27, 2015.
