Felixia Yeap accepts Amanah’s apology
PETALING JAYA: Model Felixia Yeap has forgiven newly launched Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) for using pictures of her supposedly endorsing the party.
“I heard the party has apologised. That is good. Please do not repeat this kind of thing,” she said in a Facebook post.
The former Playboy bunny, who converted to Islam in July last year, said that the issue should never have arisen in the first place.
“You guys are supposed to be well educated enough not to use other’s images and names without their permission, consent and approval…I’m sure.
“It’s like creating fitnah saying I’m involved with that politic party, when I have not even heard of it before this,” she wrote.
Yeap also thanked the party for removing the picture and wanted to move on from the matter.
Malacca Amanah communications director Adeysham Nor had released a statement of apology, posting it on the comment section of Yeap’s Facebook post.
“We openly apologise to Felixia regarding this issue and promise to be more diligent and careful in the future when we prepare posters and other materials,” he said.
Adeysham also admitted that the poster was created by the Malacca Amanah but that it was removed within 24 hours of its publication when it was realised the poster did not comply with the party’s guidelines.
“We have also instructed 1000 of our ‘orange army’ to look for the picture on social media and request for its removal,” he said.

Ex-Playboy bunny sees red over ‘Amanah poster’
Former Playboy bunny Felixia Yeap is upset that her photo was used without her consent in a poster bearing flegdling party Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah)’s logo.
The poster depicts the model as rejecting racism. She converted to Islam last year and adopted the name Raisyyah Rania.
…
The poster was allegedly uploaded by an Amanah Youth member.
…
Amanah Youth just as surprised
Amanah Youth vice chief Shazni Munir Mohd Ithnin expressed his regret over the posting, but denied that the party had anything to do with the poster.
“First of all, we did not know about the poster. We deem it to be a form of sabotage to smear Amanah’s name.
“Amanah Youth’s focus on all levels currently is on a charity concert for musician Yazid Search. This poster of unknown origins suddenly pop up,” he told Malaysiakini.
He added that the youth wing only knew about the poster when Raisyyah Rania contacted them this morning.

Felixia Yeap slams use of her photo for politics
PETALING JAYA: Model Felixia Yeap has distanced herself from the newly-launched Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah), after pictures of her supposedly endorsing the party were spread on social networks.
The former Playboy bunny, who converted to Islam in July last year, said she did not want her picture or her name to be used for anything linked to politics.
“I am not interested in being involved in anything political. Please remove this at once. Your desperation makes you look pathetic,” she said in a Facebook post on Saturday.
The picture showed Yeap with the words, “saya felixia orang cina & beragama Islam” (I Felixia, am a Chinese and Muslim) and “Islam rejects racism.”
There is also a symbol of Amanah in the picture.
