Muis busts Subway halal hoax

Here’s one SG50 deal that isn’t happening this weekend.

The Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (Muis) has debunked an online rumour regarding fast food chain Subway.

The council intervened after a fake screenshot showing a tweet from the official @halalSG Twitter account declaring that “Subway in Singapore will be Halal for this weekend” began circulating online.

The screenshot is believed to have been photoshopped.
