Shaariibuugiin Altantuyaa (May 6, 1978 – October 18, 2006), a Mongolian national, was a murder victim who was either murdered by C-4 explosives or was somehow killed first and her remains destroyed with C-4 on October 18, 2006 in a deserted area in Shah Alam, Malaysia near Kuala Lumpur. Her murder case is significant in contemporary Malaysian politics due to the alleged involvement of persons close to Prime Minister Najib Razak.

The Shah Alam High Court meted out the death sentence to two of the accused on 9 April 2009, wrapping up the 159 day trial.

WHERE IS NAJIB, ROSMAH? Mongolian women knock at Malaysia’s door for justice for Altantuya

Written by  J. D. Lovrenciear

The large group of Mongolian women citizens who are in town attending the Global Summit of Women in Kuala Lumpur conference have showcased their national plight to the world what we caring Malaysians have repeatedly failed in ensuring justified redress.

The Altantuya’s slain story has now snowballed into the biggest insult to our nation, its citizens and our revered DYMM Yang Di Pertuan Agung owing to the government’s failure in ensuring speedy and transparent justice is dispensed with. In damaging our national reputation and the integrity of justice, we have seen shame assaulting our sovereign nation.

Who takes the blame for this national curse?

Najib Razak and his fondness for beautiful women

To begin with has our Honorable Prime Minister failed in his appointment? To complicate matters Datuk Seri Najib was – rightly or wrongly, also implicated and the citizens have not forgotten his text messages to Razak Baginda.

We also do not dismiss the facts alluding to the brutal, gruesome and most attrocious murder – the deletion of immigration records; the use of the tightly controlled explosives, C4; and the dismissal of motive as not crucial to this case.

We have not forgotten the reported involvement of security personnel who are also the Prime Minister’s bodyguards; we remember them as they are still awaiting appeal on the death row and and had walked into the court room, strangely, hooded.

Then there is the serious national security matter – a foreign national was involved (to what extent only Najib, Razak Baginda and God know), in our nation’s confidential arms purchase.

And a ordinary citizen pocketed millions as commission for the role he played in securing the deal.

All of these add to the serious disrepute and shame that now clouds our national integrity and all of its institutions. Is this then not an insult to our Ruler?

If you disagree please enlighten this nation of ours.

‘Minister’s reply meaningless, Altantuya case not over’

5:58PM Jun 13, 2013

Women’s Minister Rohani Abdul Karim’s statement that the Altantuya Shaariibuu case has been “dealt with” is meaningless as justice has not been served, said PKR.

“When Rohani said the case had been ‘dealt with’, it doesn’t mean anything to the majority of Malaysians because justice has not been served.

“I hope that the Najib Abdul Razak administration will heed my advice and weigh this issue carefully. They must understand that while they may postpone the issue, they cannot hide from it.

“One day, there will be justice for Altantuya,” said former PKR vice-president R Sivarasa.

“It needs to be said as this is an issue of justice for private investigator (PI) Balasubramaniam and his family,” he said during the Selangor government’s visit to widow S Selvi’s house in Rawang today.

The case is still under investigation until today and efforts to track the murderer have been fruitless, he added.

PKR: Explain how Altantuya’s case was ‘dealt with’

PKR Wanita wants Women, Community and Family Development Minister Rohani Karim to explain exactly what she means by saying the murder of Mongolian national Altantuya Shaariibuu has been “dealt with”.

“As far as the people are concerned, the main culprit is out there and he is the prime minister of Malaysia,” said wing chief Zuraida Kamaruddin.

This is an accusation that premier Najib Abdul Razak has vehemently denied several times in the past.

At a press conference today, Zuraida also accused Rohani of being dismissive to concerns raised by the Mongolian delegation at a global women’s conference held in Kuala Lumpur last week.

“Excuses like ‘they never approached me’ are unacceptable,” she said, referring to Rohani’s explanation yesterday as well.

Rohani should have displayed courtesy by voluntarily receiving the memorandum from the Mongolian group, Zuraida added.

No, Altantuya not Pakatan hype but real: Mongolian women demand answers from Najib

The Mongolian delegation at the Global Summit of Women in Kuala Lumpur has urged the Malaysian government to provide answers on the mysterious death of Mongolian national Altantuya Shaariibuu in Malaysia.

Speaking to media on the sidelines of the conference, Mongolian Women’s Federation (MWF) president J Erdenechimeg said that a new trial should commence to find out who is responsible for Altantuya’s death.

“We are making a special request to the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry of Malaysia to act on this, and for a quick hearing to be convened,” she stressed.

Flanked by about 70 from the delegation, she said that this is for the sake of Altantuya’s two sons who are now growing up without their mother.

ariunna mongolian women delegation to KL, pc on altantuya“We also hope for financial support for the two sons,” she added.

According to MWF executive director Ariunna Shagdarsuren (right), the MWF had decided to bring the message on behalf of the deceased’s family after meeting with Altantuya’s father.

“Her father has asked us to raise this as he needs to tell his grandchildren why their mother died in Malaysia,” she said.

“It has been many years, how much longer do they have to wait?”

Hopes M’sian women, mothers sympathise

She noted that the message also comes from Mongolian mothers who feel compassion for the two boys, and hopes that Malaysian women and mothers can sympathise with their plight as well.

She added that the MWF had initially wanted to submit a memorandum to the women, family and community development minister on the matter, but were unable to find an avenue to do so.

“We hope to leave it with the Mongolian Student Association in Malaysia to be forwarded to the ministry,” she said.
