KUALA LUMPUR: A businessman has pleaded for police assistance after his store at Bandar Damai Perdana had been robbed four times in the past seven months.

The businessman, who declined to be named, had lodged a police report on each occasion, but said little had been done.

Video recordings of the robberies at the store, which sells computer parts and accessories, recently went viral on social media.

According to the businessman, the store was looted last Wednesday and again on Saturday by a group of 15 to 20 robbers.

These came after previous heists in August and December last year.

When lodging the most recent report at the Alam Damai police station, the businessman was directed to the Batu 9 precinct instead, because he was told it did not fall under the Alam Damai jurisdiction.

Declining to disclose the estimated losses, the businessman urged the police to look after the safety and welfare of the people.

“We run an honest business and are simply trying to make a living,” he said.
