The easy route would be to continue enjoying the perks of the office, whilst battling with your own good conscience. I have always believed that no individual is larger than any institution.

Over the past week, I have been harassed by abusive phone calls from private numbers, hacking of my other (non PNB) corporate account. My LinkedIn account was also hacked

I don’t wish to dwell on this unfortunate incident. Those who know me understand why I stepped down. Those who dont, no matter what I say it wont be enough. So I wont engage. I just want closure. I’m not going to respond to any queries.

We made a big financial & family sacrifice to return to KL from Singapore because I truly wanted to contribute to nation building. Sadly this has come to an abrupt end.

Despite all this, I don’t regret joining PNB. The past 8.5 months have been rewarding and I have learnt so much. I’m very proud of what PNB has achieved in a short time

To my CEO office, my PA Dena, thank you for taking care of me and my family. My driver, Yusri who never allows me to walk anywhere and whom my kids adore. Terima kasih.

My special officer, Abbas my rock who from day one has been by my side co-ordinating everything and navigating the organisation and offering me the souding board I need. I will miss you dearly.

Finally, my wife who sacrificed her own aspirations in order for me to forge ahead in my career. Thank you. When we moved back to KL, I told her it’ll be worth it. I’m sorry it didn’t work out that way.

I’d just like your prayers that we come out of this strongly. It’s been terrible on my young family, especially my wife. I want this to stop. I have stepped down. Let me move on.

In an emotional email to staff, Jalil said the last straw had been hate calls and hacking of his email account which led him to fear for the safety of his family. #FMTNews #PNB
