PAS to field non-Muslim candidates in Pahang
PAS has set an ambitious plan for Pahang, where it plans to contest in at least 38 state and 13 parliamentary seats in the 14th general election.
State PAS commissioner Rosli Abdul Jabar said the party was aiming high, and hoped to win 25 state and seven parliamentary seats.
“We have identified potential candidates with various backgrounds, such as community activists, professionals and religious group members.
“About 40% of the candidates are young and 10% are women. PAS will also field non-Muslim candidates from the PAS supporters’ group ,” he told a press conference after the state PAS liaison committee meeting at Kompleks Al Makmur Kerdau in Temerloh today.
