GEORGE TOWN: A man and a woman armed with an axe caused chaos in Komtar when they stormed a jewellery outlet in a heist today.

State police chief Datuk Abdul Ghafar Rajab said the 2.30pm incident happened on Komtar’s ground floor at Lebuh Teck Soon about 2.30pm.

He said the man, using an axe, smashed the glass display panels moments after entering the shop.
