Visitors stuck on Battlestar Galactica ride in Universal Studios Singapore

…
SINGAPORE — Thrill seekers on the Battlestar Galactica: Human vs Cylon rollercoaster at Universal Studios Singapore were stuck in mid-air when a technical error struck on Wednesday afternoon (April 6).
Resorts World Sentosa, where the theme park is located, told TODAY that the incident happened at about 4pm.
“Standard operating procedures were followed to evacuate riders safely from the lower section of the ride,” its spokesperson said. “The safety of our guests is our top priority and a thorough routine safety check was completed before we resumed the ride at 5.08pm.”
The theme park did not reveal how many people were affected or how long it took to evacuate the riders.
This is not the first time that the rollercoaster ride faced technical problems and flaws. In March 2010, it was ordered to close for a week after the theme park opened, because a seat fell off during a routine safety test. No one was hurt.
