A man was so angry upon seeing his ex-wife’s new lover outside a shop in Boon Lay that he attacked him.

27-year-old Mr Liu who works at the store confirmed that the two 40-year-old men had a dispute outside his shop.

“When the two went out from the shop after buying a broom, a strong man with a black vest and a black hat suddenly came to the woman and shouted vulgarities.”
Mr Liu also recalled that the man accused the woman for having a relationship with her lover even before their divorce.
While talking, the man began getting violent. His ex-wife then stood in front of her lover immediately and tried to protect him.
However, the man pushed her away and beat her lover with his fist, causing the latter to fall and knock over goods outside the shop.

He described how the lover just kept dodging the ex-husband’s fists and did not seem to fight back.
After enduring the beatings, he called the police himself.
A police spokesman confirmed that they received a report at 11.12 am. He confirmed that a 50-year-old man was conveyed conscious to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital for medical treatment.
