SUNGAI SIPUT: Seramai 75 penduduk Kampung Lintang dan Kampung Tok Sirat, di sini terpaksa dipindahkan ke pusat pemindahan di kampung masing-masing selepas rumah mereka dinaiki air sejak awal pagi Ahad.
Pegawai Pertahanan Awam Unit Sungai Siput, Muhammad Hasrul Hashim berkata, banjir gelombang kedua itu menyebabkan dua pusat pemindahan dibuka iaitu di Dewan Orang Ramai Kampung Lintang dan Dewan Orang Ramai Kampung Tok Sirat.
Menurutnya, setakat jam 7 malam Ahad jumlah mangsa di kedua-dua pusat itu adalah seramai 75 yang mana terdiri daripada 17 keluarga dengan penambahan beberapa keluarga berikutan kenaikan paras air di kawasan tersebut.
Tambahnya, ketika ini keadaan di sana masih terkawal namun dikhuatiri keadaan mungkin akan menjadi lebih serius sekiranya hujan lebat secara berterusan di kawasan ini.

Flood victims in Perak rise to 315
The number of flood victims in Perak rose to 315 today from 286 yesterday, said Fire and Rescue Department director Yahya Madif.
He said the latest flood victims, comprising 34 individuals from 12 families in Bukit Merah, Batu 38 and Batu 40 Bagan Serai district, were housed at Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Merah due to rising water level of 0.9 metre caused by heavy rain yesterday afternoon.
“While the number of flood victims in Hilir Perak district, involving Kampung Lorong Mesra, Batu 9, Lorong Kedah and Kampung Baru Batu 8, still remained at 167 people from 52 families being housed at Sekolah Kebangsaan Changkat Jong,” he said when contacted in Ipoh today.
He said landslide victims had decreased from 75 to to 61 people involving Kampung Padang Serai, Batu Hampar, Beruas who were still being accomodated at Sekolah Agama Rakyat Radhuaniah, Kampung Padang Serai.

IPOH: The number of flash flood evacuees has increased to 168 when another four relief centres in Parit and Pantai Remis were opened today.
The flood victims include the 50 evacuees from Taman Pulai Raya who are still seeking shelter at Taman Bersatu community hall in Simpang Pulai here since Wednesday night.
State Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said 102 victims were evacuated to three relief centres in Parit after Kampung SImpang 3 and Kampung Serapoh were inundated by flood.
In Pantai Remis, 16 people from five families from Kampung Sungai Batu were evacuated after the flash floods caused a landslide in the village.

IPOH: Flash floods have forced the evacuation of 185 people here and Batu Gajah when their homes were affected last night.
State Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said the victims were from Taman Pulai Raya, Taman Hock Aun and Kampung Tasek here and Taman Kinta Permai and Kampung Sri Jaya Tambahan in Batu Gajah.
