But what about the poor Hindraf 6. They fought for justice on a non-partisan platform. In the end they were vindicated. But what happens to them now. They will probably be dumped into the dustbin of time. NGOs and political parties from both sides should do something for them for enduring 3 years of suffering and hardship. That is the least they can do to thank them.
Yes, what sacrifices they have made! What hardship and suffering they have had to go through! Their families, too, suffered.

Free At Last!
The pioneers of “Haramkan Interlok” movement now known as the famous “Hindraf 6” who were charged in Ipoh Magistrate court in 2010 for being part of an outlawed movement were finally freed yesterday 11th April 2013.
From the start of the case in 2010, our position as counsels in court was that “The Hindraf 6” have rights under Article 10 of The Federal Constitution that guarantees freedom of association.
It has been my pleasure defending those who defend the sanctity of our Federal Constitution. My role as counsel for the “Hindraf 6” is insignificant and small considering the enormous hardship that they have suffered all this while upholding the citizen’s rights, among others the freedom of association enshrined under The Federal Constitution.
It is my hope that Malaysian society will always remember their contribution for a better civil society in this country.
Augustine Anthony

Human Rights Party Malaysia
This morning the first of the series of cases against Hindraf activists nationwide by the racist and vindictive UMNO A.G. Gani Patail proceeded with the aforesaid case at the Ipoh magistrates Court.
In the dock were Hindraf activists P. Ramesh, Mogan, Vijayalingam, Subramaniam, Jayakumar and Sivakumar who were represented by pro bono and social
conscious lawyer Augustine Anthony.
Court proceedings began at 9.30a.m with the first witness being Sergeant Lok Abdullah ie the police photographer who had testified that he is a photographer from Ipoh police IPD HQ. He was ordered to take photographs of the Hindraf car convoy and claimed that he wasn’t informed of the purpose of doing so. He took 106 photographs of the Hindraf car convoy against the racist Interlok novel and UMNO racism targeted against the Indian poor on 13/2/2011 along the Main Road Jelapang in
Ipoh.
The second witness was ASP Zuraimi who testified that he was ordered to follow the convoy and to stop it. And that there was then an argument with the HRP and Hindraf activists led by P. Ramesh who were told not to proceed with the convoy. Later this big, fat and ugly Indian policeman mandore DSP Glenn who will never get to become the Inspector General of Police however qualified or capable in racist UMNO junta just to suck up to his Malay tuans did the typical Indian policeman mandore job. DSP Glenn give instructions to arrest and handcuff the six Hindraf activists and to bring them to the police station lock up.
The prosecution has five (5) more witnesses.
This case was adjourned to 6th & 7th September 2011.
