Miss World 2021 will be the 70th edition of the Miss World pageant to be held in first trimmester of 2022 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica will crown her successor at the end of the event. This year, the swimsuit competition (Miss World Beach Beauty) will return after a five-year hiatus.
On 16 December, the Miss World finals night was officially postponed due to several contestants and organization staff after having tested positive from COVID-19. The finals will be rescheduled within 90 days.
The rescheduled 70th Miss World pageant will be held at Puerto Rico‘s José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum on March 16, 2022 via Miss World social media accounts and press conference on December 21.[2][3][4]

Miss World 2021 postponed due to rise in COVID-19 cases; India’s Manasa also tests positive
The finale of the coveted beauty pageant Miss World 2021 has been postponed due to the rising cases of COVID-19. The global broadcast of the pageant, that was being held in Puerto Rico, was supposed to take place on Thursday night (5:30 am IST on Friday morning) but has now been rescheduled and will take place sometime within the next 90 days, according to the official statement.

The release also said, “As of yesterday, additional safety measures were implemented in the best interest of the contestants, production team and spectators, understanding the event increased risks on the stage and in the dressing room. However, after additional positive cases were confirmed this morning after consulting with health officials and experts, the postponement decision was made. The next step according to the medical experts is immediate quarantine, pending observation and further testing according to best practices in situations like this. Once and only when contestants and staff are cleared by health officials and advisors, will contestants and related staff return to their home countries.”

The Puerto Rican news agency Primera Hora reported the number of cases, including Miss World Indonesia 2021 Pricila Carla Yules, who was earlier confirmed by her national director.
In an official statement, president Julia Morley said, “The Miss World Organization is following national guidelines. If they (the seven delegates) don’t produce a negative molecular PCR test, they won’t be on stage for the final show.
