IPOH, Aug 21 — M. Indira Gandhi is set to start a roadshow nationwide to seek the help from the public to locate her missing daughter Prasana Diksa, who is abducted by her Muslim convert former husband.
Indira Gandhi Action Team (Ingat) chairman Arun Doraisamy said that the roadshow, which is jointly organised by several other Indian groups, will kick-start this Saturday at Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur.
Arun said that Indira will be sharing about her decade-long story of her missing child, who was unilaterally converted to Islam, together with the other two children by her former husband Muhammad Ridhuan Abdullah.
“However, the main focus of the roadshow is to highlight to the public and authorities that the case is no longer a case of unilateral conversion of children, but a case of a missing child.
“This is because the Federal Court ruled last January that the unilateral conversions of Indira’s children were unlawful and ordered her former husband to return Prasana to her, despite that, the child is yet to be reunited with her mother. The mission now is to trace and recover Prasana,” he told Malay Mail.
Arun also hopes that the authorities will reclassify the case as a missing person.
He said that the roadshow will continue at Kluang, Johor, the following week and will be carried out to several other states, including Perak, Penang, Kedah and also Kelantan.

A team of private investigators has been hired to track down M Indira Gandhi’s ex-husband Muhammad Riduan Abdullah, who abducted her daughter a decade ago.
“To support the efforts of the police, Indira Gandhi Action Team (Ingat) has hired a high-powered private investigator team to go hard in hunting for the fugitive.
“We will keep the police’s special task force informed of new developments, especially to assist us in arresting Riduan or for all trans-border investigative matters.
“We are positive we can close in on Riduan in a matter of weeks. It is better for him to surrender and come clean from all the mess and distress he has created,” Ingat chairperson Arun Doraisamy said in a statement today.
This follows Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador earlier saying that police are doubling their efforts to find Indira’s daughter.
Arun also warned Riduan’s current wife or anyone from among his family and friends who may have information about his whereabouts against harbouring a fugitive.
Those who do so could potentially be implicated under Section 216 of the Penal Code, he said, which deals with those “harbouring an offender who has escaped from custody, or whose apprehension has been ordered.”
Arun…claimed he has information which proves Riduan’s current wife is frequently in communication with him.
He added that there will also be a reward of RM10,000 to all taxis, Grab drivers, couriers, bus drivers and other commercial vehicle drivers with information leading to Riduan’s arrest.
Ingat will also be holding a roadshow beginning in the middle of August in Penang, before moving onto Kelantan, Perak and elsewhere in Malaysia.
“Let me assure the public that Prasana Diksa will be returned to her mother Indira,” Arun said.

The wording is misleading. Prasana Diksa was not taken. She was kidnapped plain and simple and that is a criminal offence and anyone harbouring them are aiding and abetting including that Syariah Court who acted out of their remit. One method is to take hair samples of Indian girls sitting for important exams. Even if we can’t afford to run a DNA ana;ysis, all these attempts are a way to spook them. I for one have started taking photos of Honda Hiluxes of any colour. I have no faith in the PDRM. They have no motivation to uphold the law. All disappearances must take into account the possibility of an Old Boy hotel.
