PETALING JAYA: Police have arrested three men believed to be involved in a spate of robbery and house break-in cases in the district.

Petaling Jaya District Police chief ACP Mohd Zani Che Din said on Feb 7, acting upon a tip off, police picked up the first suspect at 11.15pm.

“Following interrogation, police arrested two other suspects at Kampung Pasir near Old Klang Road on the same day.

“Initially the suspects aged between 26 and 30 were only linked to a robbery that took place on Dec 31 last year at a residential area, where the Closed Circuit Television Camera (CCTV) footage of the incident went viral on social media,” Mohd Zani told reporters at the district police headquarters here today.

He said further investigations revealed that the suspects were involved in a spate of house break-ins and a vehicle theft case in the Petaling Jaya area.

Mohd Zani said each suspect had three previous records for drug abuse.
