Bikini photo contest cancelled after complaint by Isma
A bikini photography contest in Bangi, Selangor has been cancelled amid complaints of that it is “inappropriate”.

The Supermodel International Malaysia 2017 Bikini Photography Contest was to take place at the Bangi Wonderland Themepark and Resort.
Hulu Langat Isma chief Noor Azib Asmangi said the event infringes the sensitivity of locals who are mostly Muslim.
It is also not aligned to the slogan “Bangi Bandar Berilmu” (Bangi City of Knowledge) and the principles of Islam, he was quoted as saying by Isma website Ismaweb.
“These sorts of programmes should be cancelled out out respect for locals who are mostly Malay-Muslim.
“Isma strongly opposes programmes which do not benefit Muslims and promotes immoral activities like this,” he said.
He also urged residents to oppose the programme by petitioning their local residents associations.
