Denials from Universities come right, left and center!

Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL) say, “No, we didn’t.”

Azizan’s website refers to him as ‘Dr Azizan Osman’, while his firm’s website states that he has a honorary PhD in entrepreneurship from UM.

According to aziznosman.com, he has a PhD in management from a local university.

After Universiti Malaya (UM) clarified in a statement yesterday, that it never issued an honorary doctorate to marketing guru Azizan Osman, two more have followed in the public educational institution’s footstep.

As reported by Malay daily Berita Harian, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) has denied that Azizan was awarded a PhD in psychology as depicted on his website.

A spokesperson from the university told the daily that Azizan’s name is not listed in the university’s list of PhD awardees.

Meanwhile, Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL) also released a statement that it never issued a Master’s Degree in business administration and PhD to Azizan.

“IUKL confirms that it never awarded both degrees to Azizan Osman,” read the university’s statement today.

‘Marketing whiz’ seeks clarification over UM’s denial of honorary PhD award

Celebrity marketing coach Azizan Osman said he will be seeking clarification over Univeristi Malaya (UM) after the university denied it had granted him an honorary doctorate.

“We would like to inform that we take this matter seriously. We have seeked (sic) further clarification and the outcome of the inquiry will be communicated once the process has run its course,” he said through a statement released through his company Rickworks International Sdn Bhd.

The statement was also published on Azizan’s Facebook page.

“We acknowledge the inconvenience this may cause, nonetheless, we are committed to continue to deliver the highest value to our clients and partners.

“We are humbled by their loyalty and support and we will address this as efficiently as possible,” he said.

UM denies honorary PhD awarded to ‘marketing whiz’ Azizan Osman

Universiti Malaya today refuted claims that it awarded an honorary doctorate to celebrity marketing coach Azizan Osman.

This comes following social media postings alleging Azizan obtained an honorary doctorate in entrepreneurship from UM, it said.

“We hope this provides clarity over the matter,” UM said in a statement on its official Facebook page.
