Kamalanathan calls for police investigation following fake UPSR question leak

PETALING JAYA: Deputy Education Minister Datuk P. Kamalanathan has urged the police to investigate a fake question with a racist connotation that allegedly appeared in this year’s Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) and which has been widely circulating across social media.

In a statement issued via Facebook on Wednesday, Kamalanathan dismissed the question as fake following an investigation by the Examination Syndicate which concluded that the question did not appear in the UPSR examinations this year.

“I am very disappointed and angry that certain irresponsible parties have started circulating a question which doesn’t exist in the UPSR examination.

“It is claimed the question was from this years examination paper. Such lies and slander have very dark motives and are reprehensible by nature,” he said.
