Sarawak Report’s Attempt To Defame Rosmah Backfires

KUALA LUMPUR: It appears that Sarawak Report’s attempt to tarnish the prime minister’s wife’s good name has ended up backfiring instead.
The portal had tried to stir controversy by falsely reporting that Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor was overstepping her authority in chairing a party-level meeting with the Minister of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Datuk Sri Ahmad Shabery Cheek and the Department of Special Affairs (JASA) Director-General Datuk Mohd Puad Zarkashi during the recent UMNO General Assembly.
They uploaded a status update on their Facebook page supposedly showing Rosmah chairing a meeting attended by Shabery and Puad and the now banned online news portal questioned her authority to be there.
“What was Rosmah doing chairing meetings with former Minister of Multimedia and Communications, Shabery Cheek and the Director General of JASA during the UMNO General Assembly?

However, the truth of the matter is that it was only a meet and greet session between Rosmah with the student leaders of UK’s Kelab UMNO Luar Negara, attended by Shabery and Puad.

I was in the room with DS Rosmah as per mentioned by this misleading posting of Sarawak Report.
For your information, DS Rosmah was not chairing any meeting during UMNO General Assembly (PAU). She was invited for a 10 minutes meet & greet session to a small group of representative from Kelab Umno Luar Negara.
Obviously DS Shabery Cheek was there as he is the Chairman of Kelab Umno Luar Negara. Alongside him is Datuk Dr Puad Zarkashi, Director-General of JASA cum Ahli Majlis Tertinggi UMNO who’s been assisting us a lot while overseas.
It’s easy to instil hatred. Always check on what you read for its legitimacy.
