Yishun death: Police arrest 34-year-old Malaysian woman for suspected murder

…
Lianhe Wanbao reported that a 34-year-old woman, believed to be the flat tenant, was arrested by the police. Earlier, she was seen crying at the foot of the block.
The police were first alerted of a heated quarrel outside the flat. Upon arrival at around 11pm, they discovered a gruesome sight. The victim, Mr William Wong, was found in a pool of blood in his master bedroom, while there were blood stains splattered in the house and corridor extending for 10m.
Medical responders later pronounced the man dead at 11.38pm.
A knife believed to be the murder weapon was found by the police. Three bamboo poles and a few baking equipment were also taken away by the police for investigation.
Mr Wong’s wife, Mdm Winnie Teo, told Lianhe Wanbao that she was returning home from work at around 11pm on Saturday when she noticed a trail of blood leading to her flat.
Mdm Teo, who works as a cleaner, refused to believe that her husband was dead. Insisting that he was just involved in a minor scuffle with the tenant, she told Lianhe Wanbao initially: “He bled a lot, but it shouldn’t be a big deal.”
It was only after she made 10 calls to his mobile phone when she finally accepted that he was dead. With tears in her eyes, she said in shock: “He’s really dead!”
