Blaming Anwar for MAS Flight MH370 going missing!

_______________________________________________________________

WHO IS TRYING TO DRAG ANWAR IBRAHIM INTO THE DEEPENING MYSTERY OF THE  MISSING MAS FLIGHT MH370?

*The attack on Anwar’s reputation takes a slightly different tack: the pilot is the uncle of Anwar’s daughter-in-law.

Zaharie is his “son’s wife’s mother’s father’s brother’s son”.

“What my daughter-in-law told me is that he is a family member, not too close, but she calls him ‘uncle,’ which is quite common here. But I know him… basically as a party activist,” Anwar replied.

TRACING OUT UMNO’S LIE: CNN’s Christiane Amanpour asks Anwar if Capt Zaharie was his“son’s wife’s mother’s father’s brother’s son”

Anwar, whose link to the pilot suddenly surfaced amid media scrutiny on the latter’s background, confirmed to reporters yesterday that the man was related to his daughter-in-law.

He was asked again to speak on the link by Amanpour and the leader said his daughter-in-law called the MAS pilot “uncle”.

Amanpour, quoting from Anwar’s press secretary, had asked the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) de facto chief to confirm if Zaharie was indeed his “son’s wife’s mother’s father’s brother’s son”.

“What my daughter-in-law told me is that he is a family member, not too close, but she calls him ‘uncle,’ which is quite common here. But I know him… basically as a party activist,” Anwar replied.

He appeared as well to dismiss links between Zaharie and his sodomy II case, in which he had been sentenced to five years in jail just hours before MH370 went missing.

Anwar said that based on what he gathered from the pilot’s colleagues, Zaharie had indeed been “disturbed” by the court’s decision.

But he was quick to add that “many others were disturbed”.

“I mean, we were shocked and appalled by the speed of the process of the court of appeal.”

“But I think that’s quite normal. I don’t think it’s something that would trigger a person of his expertise, calibre, to do any unwanted activity. I am absolutely certain of that,” Anwar said, according to CNN’s report. -Malaymail

Anwar: Don’t cast calumny on pilot without proof

Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim has asked the media and the authorities not to “cast aspersions” on Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 pilot Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah without concluding investigations in the first place, insisting that the experienced pilot was a “good family man”.

Anwar admitted in a press conference at the Parliament lobby today that Zaharie was related to Anwar’s daughter-in-law and that he had personally met the pilot, who worked for MAS since 1981, at several PKR functions.

“He is someone who has passion for justice,” Anwar said today.

He also ridiculed the idea floated around that the pilot could have hijacked the plane in protest at the Sodomy II conviction against Anwar on March 7.

“I think 90 percent of taxi drivers are our supporters. But I don’t see all the taxis being hijacked to Kajang,” he said.

*WHO FED THE DAILY MAIL THIS FABLE?

The Daily Mail in a report today described Zaharie as a “political fanatic” and “obsessive” supporter of Anwar following revelations that he was a PKR member.

PKR refutes ‘Anwar link’ to lost MH370

PKR today refuted UK-based tabloid Daily Mail’s report quoting police sources which claimed MH370 pilot Zaharie Ahmad Shah had hijacked his own plane after being outraged at Opposition Anwar Ibrahim’s conviction for sodomy.

Subang MP R Sivarasa acknowledged that Zaharie joined PKR on Jan 23 last year but said it was unfair to insinuate that the party had something to do with Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 which vanished from civilian radar last Saturday.

“The media should not make speculations. Daily Mail is a tabloid, they did not refer to any (credible) source,” he told a press conference in Kajang today.

Written by Malaysia Chronicle

EXCERPTS FROM THE ARTICLE
..

Police seem to believe that that the pilot of missing Flight MH370 had hijacked his own aircraft in a bizarre political protest.
..

1 Amid intensifying calls for Prime Minister Najib Razak to step down to take responsibility for mishandling the missing flight MH370 crisis, and after days of secretly holding the doomed pilot’s laptop, the Malaysian authorities have suddenly ‘loosened’ their lips in what appears to be a bid to draw in and tarnish Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim.
..

2 The UK’s Mail on Sunday reported the Malaysian police were investigating the possibility that the pilot of missing Flight MH370 had hijacked his own aircraft in a bizarre political protest.
..

3 The Mail on Sunday said it had learned that Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah was an ‘obsessive’ supporter of Malaysia’s opposition leader, Anwar Ibrahim.
..

4 Hours before the doomed flight left Kuala Lumpur it is understood 53-year-old Shah attended a controversial trial in which Ibrahim was jailed for five years.
..

5 Police sources have confirmed that Shah was a vocal political activist – and fear that the court decision left him profoundly upset.
..

6 It was against this background that, seven hours later, he took control of a Boeing 777-200 bound for Beijing and carrying 238 passengers and crew.

American intelligence officials are leaning towards the theory that “those in the cockpit” – the pilots of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 – were responsible for the disappearance of the commercial jetliner, an American official with direct knowledge of the latest developments told CNN yesterday.

The revelation comes in the heels that Malaysian authorities searched the home of the lead pilot – Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah – on the same day that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said at a briefing yesterday the plane veered off course and attributed it to deliberate action taken by someone onboard the Boeing 777-200ER.

The CNN report said the Malaysian government had been looking for a reason to search the home of the pilot and the co-pilot for several days.

However, it said, it was only in the last 24 to 36 hours when radar and satellite data came to light that authorities believed they had sufficient reason to search the homes of Zaharie, 53, and co-pilot, Fariq Abdul
