NST using a pic of an Indian man grocery shopping for an article in support of the ban on alcohol selling is no surprise. This is the result of having dinosaur editors in place whose personal belief becomes the paper's editorial decision makers. pic.twitter.com/ECgPPBjpAF

We understand an image in one of the letters on our site, was deemed insensitive by some of our readers. The image was a file photo used to depict a sundry shop, and not any individual. We have changed the image and would like to apologise for any distress caused. pic.twitter.com/zFlUfaZSET

Not just the NST article is racist but the whole thing of banning sale of alcohol in sundry shops is rather classist.

Not that I support alcohol being more accessible. The thing is people who buy alcohol from such places are often working class.
