Lip Eng claims parking corruption in Parliament

PARLIAMENT Just moments after escaping suspension, Lim Lip Eng (DAP-Segambut) shocked the Dewan Rakyat by claiming that there is corruption on Parliament grounds.

Lim said some security personnel were asking for bribes in exchange for parking spots.

“Some members of the public try to park here but can’t due to a lack of parking space and because security personnel close off the parking lots.

“The security personnel then ask for RM10 fees in exchange for a parking spot,” Lim claimed.

He said he has evidence and witnesses who can attest to this.

“I don’t only want to protect Parliament, I want to clean it of corruption,” he added.

Deputy speaker Ronald Kiandee then ordered the House administration to investigate the matter.
