Naked man who went berserk at Phuket airport blames erection drug
PHUKET: Six airport security guards together with Saku Police officers, tourist police officers and staff from the Phuket Airport’s tourist centre, rushed to the scene of a distraught naked man and tried to convince him to calm down on January 4.
Phuket International Airport issued an explanation letter on Sunday regarding a video of a distraught naked man who went berserk in the international terminal.
The South Korean passenger told authorities that he had taken too much Viagra.
The airport insisted that the officers did not harm the man when arresting him.
The 27 year old South Korean national, who holds an American passport, removed all his clothing in the international terminal while waiting to fly from Phuket to Incheon International Airport at about 11.30pm on January 4.
He was found naked in front of the toilet behind the passenger screening point.
Six airport security guards together with Saku Police officers, tourist police officers and staff from the tourist centre of the airport, rushed to the scene and tried to convince him to calm down.
However, the task was made more difficult as he started to defecate on the floor, grabbing his faeces and throwing them at the officers and staff as well as other passengers.

“The officers brought him to the walkway on the north side of the terminal to avoid other passengers and managed to calm him down at the Tourist Centre on the first floor.
“When he regained his composure he admitted that he took too many Viagra pills and lost consciousness.
He accepted responsibility to reimburse for any damages that he caused.

When photos of a group of Asian tourists frolicking naked at night on a beach in Thailand went viral, netizens jumped to the conclusion that they must have been from China.
A Thai Twitter user called @KomsakAddams first posted the photos on his page in a message that was retweeted more than 12,000 times, reports Shanghaiist.
He wrote: “I was having a meal with friends at a seaside restaurant when all of sudden dozens of people from a Chinese male tour group stripped naked. Do you think I can eat anything now?”
However, following careful police investigations, Komsak’s accusation has been proven false as the 20 to 30 men that ruined his dinner were in fact from Japan.

Two Western female tourists who went on a joyride topless in Phuket have been apprehended by Thai police.
Videos on social media showed the American and Austrian tourists sitting on the windows sills of a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) that was inching slowing along the streets of Patong on Jan 2 at 9pm, exposing their bare breasts for all to see.
…American national Adrianna Martin, 20, and Austrian national Camille Prymann, 25, could also be seen dancing and drinking during their joyride.
They were arrested by the police on Sunday night after the car plate of the SUV was traced to a villa where they were staying, reported the Phuket Gazette.
Their protracted New Year celebrations in the land of smiles came crashing down at Patong Police Station where they were charged with indecent public exposure, the Telegraph reported, and fined 500 Baht (S$19.70).
A female police officer also gave them a lesson on Thai culture and morality.
“We explained to them why such behaviour was inappropriate and charged them for public nudity,” Lt Col Sutthichai Thianpho of the Patong Police told the Phuket Gazette.
