ALOR SETAR: The 35-year old mother who allegedly killed her two sons by slitting their throats was charged with murder at a Sungai Petani Magistrate’s court here.

Housewife Saw Shok Kian (pic), 35, was charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code for the death of Tee Cong Shern, three, and Tee Cong Ming, five, between 10.00pm on Nov 30 and 3pm on Dec 1 at her home at No.20, Lorong Wira Indah 11 in Taman Wira Indah, Sungai Petani.

Mohd Hadi fixed Jan 12 next year for the re-mention of the case and ordered Saw to be send to Hospital Bahagia in Tanjung Rambutan for observation for 30 days.

Mother who slit sons throats to be charged on Tuesday

ALOR SETAR: The 35-year old mother who killed her two sons by slitting their throats will be charged at the Sungai Petani magistrate’s court on Tuesday said the police.

On Dec 1, the woman who was believed to be suffering from depression allegedly killed her two children aged 3 and 5-year-old at her home at No.20, Lorong Wira Indah in Taman Wira Indah, Sungai Petani.

Her father Saw Weng Choon, 60, found his grandsons Tee Cong Ming, 5, and Tee Cong Shern,3, dead in a room at the ground floor of the house at about 3.20pm last Tuesday.

The woman was found in another room with her left wrist cut.

She has been warded and remanded at the psychiatric ward of Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital in Sungai Petani.

Mum slits young sons’ throats

Police carried out investigation at the double storey house where a believed to be mentally unsound mother killed her two children at home.

SUNGAI PETANI: A woman allegedly killed her two sons, aged five and three, by slitting their throats at their home here.

Kedah CID chief Asst Comm Mohd Nashir Ya said the 35-year-old woman lived with her parents and the boys in a three-storey house.

“Her husband is working in Singapore. The boys’ grandfather returned home at about 3pm and was shocked to find them dead with their throats slit on the ground floor of the house.

“One of the children also had a slash wound on his wrist.

SUNGAI PETANI: Two siblings, aged two and six, are dead, believed to have been slaughtered by their own mother at their home in Taman Wira Indah‎ here this afternoon.
…In the 3pm incident, the boys were found in their respective bedrooms in a pool of blood, after they were believed to have been slaughtered by their mother with a knife.
