The Malaysian Insider had reported that villagers were willing to move out of their homes but wanted the landowner to agree to a higher compensation deal than the one currently on offer or look for new homes for them.
The 100 families have also been forced to live in darkness after the landowner carried out its threat to have Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) cut the electricity supply to the village.
Villagers had demanded that the landowner pay a compensation amounting to RM12,000.
They had also urged the state government to intervene.
However, the state government had said that there was nothing it could do as there was a court order requiring the villagers to vacate the land. – October 6, 2015.

Negri Sembilan police have defended the arrests of 15 individuals who protested at Kampung Ulu Temiang in Seremban today, saying that they were detained to ensure safety and adherence to the court order.
Seremban police chief ACP Muhamad Zaki Harun said 15 people, including federal lawmaker Anthony Loke Siew Fook and Negri Sembilan assemblyman Ng Chin Tsai were nabbed at 8.30am.
“However, (politicians aside) only four were residents of Kampung Ulu Temiang while nine others were not,” he said in a statement through WhatsApp.
He said the detainees were being investigated under the Penal Code for obstructing the public servants from carrying out their duties.
