A 31-year-old woman surnamed Kuo, a victim of the Formosa Water Park explosions, was taken off a ventilator and pronounced dead at Tainan’s Chi Mei Medical Center at 7:06 p.m., yesterday.
Kuo was the 10th person to perish due to the tragic accident that occurred a month ago, reports AsiaOne via The China Post.
According to local media, Kuo was hospitalised at Chi Mei Hospital on June 28, two days after the explosion.

Currently, there are still 37 people hospitalised, 22 of them in severe condition and still receiving therapy in the hospital’s burn centre, but 15 of them have been moved to general treatment areas.

The organiser of a Color Play Asia party in Taipei has stepped out to make an emotional public apology, following an explosion at the event that left more than 500 injured and one dead.

Lu Chung-chi was one of the five people arrested in the wake of the tragedy, reports Shanghaiist.
He was released after paying NT$1 million for bail and is now restricted from leaving the region.
Stepping out of the police station, Lu kneeled down before reporters and offered his condolences, adding that he had suffered from burns before and understands the excruciating pain.
“I’m not sure what I can do for the many injured, but I will do my best to make up for what I have done,” he said.
The 41-year-old also admitted that he hadn’t warned workers about the dangers of flammable powder. He aims to first discuss claims with insurance companies and vows to “take full responsibility till the end”.

KUALA LUMPUR: Another Malaysian Wah Liang Jie was injured in the explosion at the Formosa Water Theme Park, New Taipei City, Taiwan on Saturday, making him among two injured Malaysians identified so far. According to a Wisma Putra statement today, Wah, a student at Vanung University sustained burns on his face, arms and legs. He is now being warded at the Xizhi Cathay Hospital, New Taipei City. Another Malaysian victim, Lim Sh Li was reported to be in stable condition and has been transfered from Ren Ai Hospital to Taiwan Medical University for further treatment.

KUALA LUMPUR: A Malaysian was among those involved in the explosion during the Colour Play Asia celebrations held at the Formosa Water Park in New Taipei City, Taiwan last Saturday. According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the victim was identified as Lim Sh Li, a medical student at the National Taiwan University. “She suffered 54% second degree burns on her arms and legs and was admitted to the ICU at Ren Ai Hospital in Taipei for further treatment,” read the statement. TAIPEI – A fire on a music stage spread into a crowd of spectators at a party on Saturday night (June 27) at a Taiwan water park, injuring about 350 people, authorities said.
An accidental explosion of an unknown powder set off the fire near the stage at Formosa Water Park in New Taipei City in front of about 1,000 people, said Mr Wang Wei-sheng, a liaison with the New Taipei City fire department command centre.
Taiwan’s Central News Agency (CNA) reported 349 have been injured, quoting the Health Ministry. They included four mainland Chinese and two foreigners. Mr Wang said 83 people had serious injuries.
Burn victims lay on inflatable pool rings in Formosa Fun Coast recreational park as they awaited stretchers, cable TV network TVBS showed. Many had burns to their faces, arms and legs, according to Cti TV.
