DOUBLE STANDARDS? IT IS OBVIOUS THAT, TO THE GOVERNMENT, XAVIER JUSTO IS GUILTY.
There has been no trial yet but they have assumed that he is guilty. Thus, 1MDB is innocent and the PM is exonerated.
IT IS EQUALLY OBVIOUS THAT, TO THE GOVERNMENT, those responsible for #MARAGATE are INNOCENT until proven guilty. They did nothing wrong.

Justo’s arrest doesn’t change the fact that money is missing, Dr M says
KUALA LUMPUR, June 29 ― Claims that a former PetroSaudi International (PSI) top executive had tampered and leaked email correspondence with 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) have no bearing on the fact that the two companies had entered a “worthless” joint venture, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said today.
The former prime minister said the recent arrest of Xavier Justo by Thai authorities on charges of blackmail cannot negate the fact that Putrajaya itself had told Parliament that 1MDB had issued a US$1.9 billion (RM7.1 billion) loan to a PSI subsidiary during the time of their short-lived joint venture.
“Some people are very excited about Justo. Now they say the critics of the Prime Minister should apologise. Apologise for what?” Dr Mahathir said in his latest blog posting.
“The fact remains that vast amounts of money has disappeared. Can Justo bring all the money back?” he added.

Cops rule out CBT in Melbourne property deal
KUALA LUMPUR: Police have ruled out criminal breach of trust (CBT) in the case of property purchased by Malaysians linked to Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara).
Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said for now police were not involved in investigations as there were no elements of CBT in the case.
“Investigations will be carried out entirely by the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC),” he told reporters at Bukit Aman on Monday.

Cops may question The Edge, Sarawak Report http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/303402 @PDRMsia @KBAB51 @sarawak_report

…
The police may summon business paper The Edge and whistleblower portal Sarawak Report for questioning, regarding their reports on 1MDB, said Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar.
“We will call anybody for (investigation) if there is a necessity,” he said in a press conference at Putrajaya today.
He was asked if the police would call them for questioning following Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s statement last week.
Last Wednesday, Zahid had told reporters in Putrajaya that the information reported by Sarawak Report and later reproduced by The Edge was untrue, because the facts had been “twisted”.
“Investigations will be conducted to identify the appropriate laws that can be used to charge (the perpetrators).
“In view of the arrest in Thailand, we will provide any form of assistance requested by the Thai authorities, including providing witnesses from Malaysia,” said the minister, who added the ministry may also revoke the permit of the business daily.

Mara officers innocent until proven guilty, says Najib
The Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) officials named in Australian newspaper The Age’s report on the Melbourne property scandal are innocent until proven guilty, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak. He said today no action can be taken against them based on a “trial by media” as they must be thoroughly investigated first. “No action has been taken against them yet. Investigation must be done to determine whether they broke the law,” Najib told a press conference after chairing Umno’s supreme council meeting. “We cannot take action based on suspicion or a trial by media or social media. It must be based on the rule of law. You are deemed innocent until proven guilty.” http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/malaysia/article/mara-officers-innocent-until-proven-guilty-says-najib#sthash.4winDV1k.DebhIbPn.dpbs —
