The speed limit at the Tuas Checkpoint is only 15kmh.

But businessman Mohamed Dawood R. M. Abdul Sukkur, 47, allegedly drove his black BMW there at 142kmh on June 23 afternoon.

Three days later, he was charged with performing a rash act to endanger the personal safety of others.

Yesterday, he faced three additional charges – one count each of intentionally perverting the course of justice, importing a meat product from Malaysia into Singapore without a required licence, and importing processed food that had not been registered with the authorities.
