Mischief is involved! Someone doctored the photo. It should read “Pilihan No. 1 Pelabur”.

DBKU declares ‘typo’ on investment banking advert false

KUCHING: The photograph of what was believed to be a typo on an advertisement banner for investment banking has been going viral on Facebook since yesterday (Thursday).

Instead of reading ‘pelabur’ (investors), the word in the photo read ‘pelacur’ (prostitutes). The original banner is located on the overhead bridge connecting SMK St Joseph and SMK St Teresa and it was learnt that personnel from DBKU went to check on said advertisement this morning to confirm the photo’s authenticity.

Kuching City North Commission (DBKU) confirmed through a posting on its Facebook page that the photo was a doctored image, and urged people against spreading such photos through social media.
