BREAKING: Malaysiakini's editor-in-chief Steven Gan however was found not guilty.
— Rozanna Latiff (@rozlatiff) February 19, 2021
The court was not unanimous in its ruling, with judge Nallini Pathmanathan dissenting.
Judge Rohana Yusof: "While freedom of opinion and expression is protected by the federal constitution, it must be one within the bounds permissible by law. And the law does not tolerate contempt of court as it undermines the system of judiciary."
